The international ceramic art project “On the Way to Porcelain: Blue – White” continues its journey across borders with its sixth exhibition, now on display in the historic city of Delft, the Netherlands—renowned for its rich ceramic tradition. Hosted at the Delft Municipality Exhibition Hall from June 2 to July 14, 2025, the exhibition invites visitors into a timeless dialogue between traditional and contemporary ceramic art.

The opening ceremony was held by H.E. Selçuk Ünal, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Netherlands, and attended by notable guests including Frank van Vliet (Member of the Delft City Council), Candan Dizdar Terviel and Meral Öztürk (Exhibition Curators), Burak Ersoy (Consul General of Türkiye in Amsterdam), Mammad Ahmadzada (Ambassador of Azerbaijan), Agustin Vasquez Gomez (Ambassador of El Salvador), representatives from the Embassies of Qatar and Hungary, officials from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Delft municipal officers, culture and art professionals, media representatives, and many art lovers.

Also in attendance were Adil Akaltun and Bülent Evren from the Yunus Emre Institute Amsterdam, and Will Lutz, Director of Galerie Lutz Delft. Prominent Dutch artists such as Chris Dagradi, Fons van Laar, Martine De Jong, Pepijn Van Den Nieuwendijk, Philippe Akkerman, Pieter Kusters, Tineke Van Gils, and Yvonne Strang contributed their works to the exhibition.
From Türkiye, ceramic artists Candan Dizdar Terwiel, Görkem Öztürk, Mehmet Çelik, Olgu Sümengen Berker, Senanur Gündoğdu Dodevski, and Tuna Doğan participated in the exhibition with their unique works.

Initiated in 2023 by GaleriM Art Gallery and Hacettepe University Institute of Fine Arts, this meaningful project was born in Ankara with the vision of uniting ceramic artists across borders and fostering intercultural artistic dialogue. It has since captivated thousands of visitors in Türkiye through exhibitions in İznik, Ankara, Çanakkale, and Istanbul.

Following its first international exhibition in Amsterdam (October 26, 2024), the project now reaches Delft, a city known as a global capital of porcelain with centuries of craftsmanship. Delft continues to charm with its blend of tradition and innovation, making it an ideal destination for this cross-cultural art initiative.
Supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and various national and international institutions, “On the Way to Porcelain: Blue – White” celebrates the cultural richness of ceramic art by bringing together contemporary artists, traditional masters, young talents, and tributes to late ceramicists.
