One of Ankara’s most prominent cultural venues, the Anatolian Civilizations Museum, hosted a remarkable art event on March 28, 2026. Organized by the Gazi University Foundation Schools, the exhibition and music recital titled “The Story of Anatolia” brought together art enthusiasts in a multidisciplinary celebration.

The event, hosted by Museum Director Yusuf Kıraç, was attended by Provincial Director of Culture Erhan Karakaya. Curated by the General Director of Gazi University Foundation Schools Nebahat Sicimoğlu and high school art teacher N. Buket Demir, the exhibition reinterpreted Anatolia’s rich cultural heritage through the artistic expressions of younger generations.

A musical recital held prior to the opening added a powerful artistic dimension to the event. The polyphonic choir conducted by music teacher Tugay Baş performed alongside the Mugham Art Ensemble of Ankara Music and Fine Arts University, led by faculty member Devrim Aycan. Soloist Canan Işık delivered an impressive performance that received great appreciation from the audience.
One of the highlights of the event was the dance performance of “Sarı Gelin” by Gazi University Foundation High School student Bilge Karaçam. The choreography was prepared under the guidance of dance artist Gökçe Şar from the Turkish World Union affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, with costume consultancy by Gülçehre Sangu.

The participation of Samir Abbasov, President of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, added an international dimension to the exhibition, while the emphasis on “Dear Azerbaijan” strengthened the cultural ties highlighted throughout the event.
“The Story of Anatolia” stood out as a multidisciplinary gathering where young artists conveyed the deep-rooted heritage of Anatolia through painting, music, and dance. Held within the historic atmosphere of the museum, the event served as a meaningful bridge between past and present.
