Ufuk Sagin tells the story of “Girdap” as follows:
“When I was going through a period where I had a hard time accepting what was happening, there were many questions I wanted to ask and a mouthful of sentences I wanted to say. These sentences came to life with the song “Girdap”. Desperation is actually; wanting to be heard, to be seen and yet being afraid of it, wanting to get out of this cycle but not being able to leave it behind.”
