Belma Bozkurt’s Lotus Gravitas manifesto;
The Lotus flower, which provides purification and rebirth, grows in muddy and cracked areas, manages to bloom by being stripped with difficulty and leaves those who see it with their admirers. The Lotus gravitas female archetype is the meeting of the wise, creative, winning woman with nature and the return of wild power. Since the potentials such as Amazon women and Cybele, the reality of the perspective of women who have been defeated by modern life and the patriarchal system is being reborn by transforming into the Lotus Gravitas female archetype.
Regardless of the compass of the Lotus Gravitas archetype, women add wisdom, passion, creativity, elegance, rebirth, fertility and the power of their intuition to life, healing life and them. Men can discover themselves better with the Lotus light.
In today’s global world and in all cultures from the West to the East, an aesthetic mold is pumped from women that expects them to be beautiful like in fairy tales. As they are exposed to this, women are moving away from their wild natural beauty and their freedom is slipping away from them. In the lotus gravitas archetype, every woman is uniquely magnificent like a lotus.
A woman is not a lady, gentle, cute, polite, beautiful, cheerful, extroverted, sensual, successful, mother, wife, manager, invincible, in short, perfect, but included in this world, equal and necessary for this world, as expected by society.
A woman is more than a statue and marble, she is soil, air or water. She cannot be divided and forced to change, her fertility, production and healing cannot be stopped. A woman is an energy, her body only protects, carries and supports the spirit and soul, and therefore she is beyond the visible with her energy and passions. A lotus woman is hungry for spiritual feelings and thoughts and is ready to give this food to herself by producing it relentlessly. She plants seeds when she hits the bottom, reaps the harvest at the peak and is always the winner.
Even if the lotus woman’s psyche has lost its way, it has the power within itself to make it shine again. When the swamp is ready, the lotus emerges, reminds us of self-love and the value of women, reaches the artist within women and heals society.
As women, in order for our matriarchal power to beautify the world, we should focus our spiritual existence in the essence of the Lotus on the feelings, thoughts and efforts that give strength, and stay away from entering cycles such as admiration, appreciation, kindness, perfection, competition and search for approval that serve the modern world order that weakens us. The lotus woman is original, unhurried, self-confident, a girl who lives her joy, passionate, wise and creative.
Of course, a woman cannot change the entire society by organizing a personal exhibition or writing a manifesto. However, she can start the change by foreseeing it. She achieves this by changing her own lotus gravitas, taking her body, soul, joy and most importantly her value under her own control.
We invite women to this exhibition to remember and transform their deepest selves, and men to understand themselves better.
